Memory Cards

My dad came down for a visit and started promptly uploading his photos to his laptop. He does this a lot, to the point where it might be considered a little OCD. Well, he tells me that he's had multiple memory cards fail on him. Luckily he had just recently uploaded all his photos so nothing was lost. He said "I know, it may seem like I do it the the extreme." However, that's why he's always doing it, so those precious memories aren't lost. I'd never heard of that before and since my camera and memory card will be 5 years old in December, I will be compulsively uploading my photos to my computer lest my card fail. That reminds me, where's my camera cable? Just that I would write about it since I had never even heard about that happening. Happy clicking!
